MacLeish [məkli:ʹʃ], Archibald, 1892–1982, amerikansk författare.
Archibald MacLeishs tidiga poesi, till exempel Tower of Ivory (1917), var influerad av Eliot och Pound. Under 1920- och 1930-talen, MacLeishs storhetstid som poet, skrev han bland annat fyra viktiga modernistiska verk, de episka dikterna The Pot of Earth (1925), Einstein (1929), The Hamlet of A. MacLeish
