C.M. Bowra
Bowra [bauʹrə], Sir Cecil Maurice, 1898–1971, brittisk litteraturforskare, professor i Oxford från 1946.
C.M. Bowra utgav arbeten om grekisk diktning, som kommit att bli standardverk, bland annat Tradition and Design in the Iliad (1930), Greek Lyric Poetry from Alcman to Simonides (2:a upplagan 1961) och Heroic Poetry (1952), men också skrifter om romantiken och symbolismen, som The Heritage of Symbolism
